Both legal spouses and domestic partners/civil union partners, as well as their children, are eligible to be covered by Citi’s:
You must submit a domestic partner coverage application or your registration of partnership when enrolling your domestic partner. If your domestic partner qualifies as a tax dependent, their coverage is treated the same as a legal spouse, with no tax implications for you.
Gender affirmation services for individuals with diagnosed gender dysphoria are covered in most cases when determined to be medically necessary based on the clinical guidelines set forth by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care.

**Short-term Medical Leave: If you need time away from work to recover from transition-related procedures, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) applies, entitling eligible employees to take a job-protected, medically necessary leave. Your Employee Medical Leave (EML) would run concurrently with short-term disability (STD) benefits, which provide income replacement during your leave.

Citi’s mental health benefits are designed to provide personalized support to meet the diverse needs of all our employees and their family members. For the LGBTQ+ community, that means offering inclusive, respectful and accepting support from professionals who understand you.
Be Well counselors trained in LGBTQ+ issues can offer free, confidential support to help you feel comfortable and manage issues related to your sexual orientation and gender identity. In addition, online resources are available to help you through various situations, including coming out, telling loved ones about your sexuality, supporting coworkers and more. There are also dedicated resources for managers who want to support LGBTQ+ employees or foster an inclusive culture at work.
Through BetterHelp, you can receive free virtual sessions with a therapist you select based on attributes important to you, such as gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity and area of expertise. BetterHelp's Pride Counseling gives you access to therapists who specialize in LGBTQ+ issues. Your Citi benefits allow you to have up to five virtual sessions or five weeks of asynchronous texting at no cost. BetterHelp services offer the convenience and confidentiality of phone, video or text-based counseling.
Your Citi medical plan provides coverage for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions from mental health professionals. Covered services include both outpatient and inpatient care. Depending on your plan, the deductible, coinsurance or copays would apply.
