Preventing the flu virus is always important, but it’s even more critical this year as we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC recommends that everyone six months and older get a flu shot every fall. We encourage you to visit your in-network doctor or pharmacy to receive your annual flu shot, at no cost to you. Simply show a valid ID and your medical ID card (if you visit your doctor) or your CVS Caremark prescription ID card (if you visit your pharmacy) when you arrive.
Find an in-network doctor: Log into your Aetna or Anthem account or download your carrier’s mobile app to search for an in-network provider.
Find an in-network pharmacy: Visit caremark.com, download the CVS Caremark free mobile app or call CVS Caremark Customer Care at 1 (844) 214-6601.
Note: If you visit an out-of-network doctor or pharmacy, you may have to pay for your flu shot.
Visit the on-site medical clinic if your location has one. Employees can get a flu shot at no cost here. To learn more, contact your on-site medical clinic.
Getting a flu shot is one of the best ways we all can help limit the spread of the flu and minimize the strain on our healthcare system by keeping ourselves, our families and our communities healthy.
The seasonal flu shot not only helps lower your chances of contracting the flu but also helps reduce the severity of your symptoms and can keep you out of the hospital if you do come down with it. We strongly encourage you and your family members to get a flu shot.
We also encourage you to get vaccinated against COVID-19, as it’s the best way to limit the spread of COVID-19 and keep you, your family and your community safe.
